The Chief Directorate Strategic Management is the nucleus that coordinates and further supports all business units in implementing projects and programmes, which are aligned to Government’s mandates. As a Chief Directorate that provides support in the development of the Departmental Strategy Plan, our role is to ensure that all commitments and mandates pronounced by Government find space in our Departmental Plan through tangible programmes, projects and interventions that enables the achievement of outcomes. Further to this the Chief Directorate monitors all departmental programmes to ensure that what has been planned is achieved and where improvement measures are required that these are put into place.
