Mr Simphiwe S. Nkosi

Mr. Simphiwe Nkosi is the Deputy Director-General: Transportation Infrastructure and Regional Services.

The purpose of Transport Infrastructure is to promote accessibility and safe, affordable movement of people, goods and services through the delivery and maintenance of transport infrastructure that is sustainable, integrated and environmentally sensitive, and which supports and facilitates social empowerment and economic growth.

This programme includes all expenditure of a current and capital nature relating to the planning, design, construction, rehabilitation, maintenance and repair of all infrastructure supporting all modes of transport. It also includes projects expenditure on the Expanded Public Works Programme done in support of infrastructure provision.
