NDEBELE AT TURNING OF THE SOD CEREMONY EMACHUMWINI SCHOOL
KwaZulu-Natal Minister of Transport, Sbu Ndebele will attend the sod
turning ceremony at Emachunwini Combined School, Msinga near Greytown.
It will take place tomorrow, Tuesday, 07 November 2000 at 10h00.
Ndebele spearheaded the upgrading of this school by approaching Price
Water House Coopers which in turn donated R180 000- 00 for the
realisation of this idea. Mr Stanley Subramoney of the Price Water House
Coopers and Mr Ndebele visited this dilapidated school in August this
year accompanied by engineering experts. Such inspection resulted in
committing his company to build four new classrooms, four conservancy
tanks, rainwater gutters, toilets and four connector tanks of 4500
litres.
This school was established in 1963 by William Sithole and Mandla Mchunu.
Currently, it has nine classes and a hall built with mud. Classes are
dilapidated and the hall has many open spaces.
