MEMORIAL SERVICE – LATE CONTROL CHIEF PROVINCIAL INSPECTOR WRIGHT 

Please be advised that the memorial service for the late Control Chief Provincial Inspector Joseph William Wright is as follows:

DATE: Thursday, 28th March 2002
VENUE: Wesley Church, Cleland, Pietermaritzburg
TIME: 14h00

Mr Wright joined the KwaZulu-Natal Road Traffic Inspectorate as a traffic officer in June 1975 and served in various ranks. In 1996 Mr Wright was promoted to the rank of Control Chief Provincial Inspector: Regional Commander - Pietermaritzburg. In December 2001, he retired from the service. Shortly before his retirement, Mr Wright was diagnosed with a terminal disease. 

On Sunday (24/03/2001) Mr Wright passed away at Medi-clinic Hospital after battling with his illness for several months. He is survived by his wife Esme and three sons.

Mr Wright served the Department of Transport in KwaZulu-Natal with loyalty and devotion and spent his time upholding the proud traditions of this department. He will be sadly missed by friends and colleagues.
