PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING EVENTS HOSTED BY THE KZN TRANSPORT
DEPARTMENT TAKING PLACE THIS WEEK:
Thursday, 6 March 2003 at 12h00: Media Briefing – Fraud and
Corruption - Parliamentary Buildings, Longmarket Street, Pietermartizburg.
The purpose of this event is to furnish details as well as progress on the
department’s initiatives in combating fraud and corruption at all
vehicle and licensing centres in the province. KZN MEC for Transport, Mr
S’bu Ndebele and senior officials of the Department will be on hand to
answer questions from the media.
Sunday, 9 March 2003 at 10h00: Sod Turning Ceremony – D903
Izingolweni near Port Shepstone. Approximately R1 million will be spent on
the upgrading of this road which is situated in the Ugu District on the
KZN South Coast in order to provide much needed access to the residents of
this area. MEC Ndebele will perform the sod turning. Transport will
be provided and will leave the reception area at Truro House, Durban at
08h30 sharp.
