PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING EVENTS HOSTED BY THE KZN TRANSPORT DEPARTMENT TAKING PLACE IN THE COMING WEEKS:Wednesday, 9 April 2003 at 13h30: Media Briefing – Transport Budget Vote - Parliamentary Buildings, Longmarket Street, Pietermartizburg. KZN Transport MEC, Mr S’bu Ndebele will furnish details as well as progress on the department’s programmes in the past financial year as well as plans for the current financial year. Monday, 14 April 2003: Zibambele Report-Back – Nongoma. Zibambele is one of the Department’s flagship programmes and the media will be informed of the impact on poverty alleviation that this programme has brought to thousands of rural households. Transport to this event will be provided. Tuesday, 15 April 2003 at 10h00: Presentation of 2003 Easter Road Safety Plans at RTI Umdloti. Road Safety Plans for the forthcoming Easter holidays will be presented at this event. Tuesday, 29 April 2003. Sod-Turning Ceremony at Main Road 399, Vulindlela near Pietermaritzburg. Tuesday, 6 May 2003. Annual Report-Back Summit at the Royal Show Grounds, Pietermartizburg. Tuesday, 13 May 2003. Intelligent Road Studs Launch at Melmoth. These road studs have helped to significantly reduce the number of road crashes in the Melmoth area. Transport will be provided. All media are invited to attend.
