KWAZULU–NATAL DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORT TO HOLD FREIGHT EMPOWERMENT SUMMIT

KwaZulu-Natal Department of Transport will host the Freight Empowerment Summit on Thursday 28th July 2005 starting from 9h00 am at the Golden Horse Casino in Pietermaritzburg.

MEC Bheki Cele together with the Head of Department Dr Kwazi Mbanjwa will be speakers of the day. The aim of the summit is to identify opportunities for SMME development in the freight industry.

MEC Bheki Cele said “The holding of this Empowerment Summit and the showcasing of these opportunities demonstrates the commitment of the KZN Department of Transport to utilising all sectors of the transportation market, to maximise economic development and the creation of jobs for the people of KwaZulu-Natal”.
