MEC CELE UNVEILS THE ROAD SAFETY EASTER CAMPAIGN 2006
Tuesday 04 April - Westridge Park (Durban) at 9am
KwaZulu-Natal MEC for Transport, Community Safety and Liaison Mr. Bheki
Cele will unveil the Road Safety Easter Launch of 2006 that will be
divided into a series of events that will include the WALK FOR SAFETY
for a distance of 5km from Westridge Park in Durban-Mayville at 9am to
the Warwick Triangle and finally Curries Fountain for a Prayer for Road
Safety.
This year’s launch will start with a CALVACADE and WALK FOR SAFETY to
the Warwick Triangle where the MEC and members of the religious
fraternity will lay the wreaths in memory of the 10 people who were
killed in the horror crash at the Warwick Triangle on Tuesday 31 January
2006.
The cavalcade drive will move from Umlazi/Pinetown and KwaMashu; they
will all meet at Spaghetti Junction and travel in the convoy to the
Warwick Triangle and to Curries Fountain for the Prayer for Road Safety.
The Cavalcade will include vehicles from Metro Police, RTI, Fire Brigade
and the Netcare Crew.
