MEC CELE’S REPORT BACK ON SAFETY AND SECURITY OVER THE FESTIVE SEASON

KwaZulu-Natal MEC for Transport, Community Safety and Liaison Mr Bheki Cele will give a comprehensive report back on issues of safety over the festive season particularly on the effectiveness of the highly advanced CCTV Cameras.

Cele will give an update on crime statistics from Metro Police and SAPS over the festive season. Reports have shown that there has been an increase in arrests made through an assistance of CCTV Cameras. An integrated approach of all security agencies, police officers from municipalities and provincial government has worked successfully in curbing crime and furthermore in creating a Safer KwaZulu-Natal.
