DURBAN WILL HOST THE INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON POLICING
MATTERS
26-28 MARCH 2006 DURBAN ICC-SOUTH AFRICA
KwaZulu Natal Department of Community Safety and Liaison
under the leadership of MEC Bheki Cele will be the proud hosts of the 2nd
International Association of Chiefs of police (IACP) Sub-Saharan Executive
Policing Conference in Durban International Convention Centre on the 26-28
March 2006.
KwaZulu-Natal Premier Sbu Ndebele will officiate the opening of the
Conference on Monday 27 March 2006, at 8am at the Durban ICC. Safety and
Security Minister Charles Ngqakula will be the guest on honour in the
conference that will be attended by delegates and chiefs of police in the
Sub-Saharan Region.
The IACP in partnership with Durban Metropolitan Police has prepared an
exceptional agenda for the conference under the theme "Policing
Challenges in a Democracy".
Law enforcement partnerships are crucial in the fight against all
manner of crime, the conference will provide an invaluable forum to share
experiences and deliberate on matters relating to effective policing in
the Sub-Saharan region.
