MEC CELE WILL ATTEND THE PASSING OUT PARADE OF 74 TRAFFIC OFFICERS
Friday 30 June 2006, YMCA Hall Pietermaritzburg at 10am
KwaZulu-Natal MEC for Transport, Community Safety and Liaison Mr. Bheki Cele
will attend the passing out parade of 74 traffic officers tomorrow Friday 30
June at the YMCA Hall in Pietermaritzburg at 9h30 am.
Out of the 74 officers that will be graduating tomorrow 63 are from the Road
Traffic Inspectorate RTI and 11 are from the local municipalities. After
extensive training the 74 traffic officers will be deployed in respective
authorities and units in order to beef up manpower and furthermore push forward
the message of road safety.
Among other things MEC Cele is expected to address the traffic officers about
discipline and hard work, “Go out there and enforce our 100 % Compliance policy
but also ensure that you abide by this policy yourselves because the law
enforcement fraternity has no place for corrupt officials, so stay away from any
act of bribery and corruption”, Cele said
