KZN Department of Transport Contractor Development Programme (CDP)

 

This is a programme aimed at developing skills and sustainable development among the emerging contractors in the construction industry.

CDP Expression of Interest (EOI) entry requirements:
All potential contractors must have the following:

a) Proof of Company registration: Companies Intellectual Property
Commission (CIPC) / Sole Proprietor;
Must be Registered in the Central Supplier Database (CSD);
b) Company must not have less than 3 years in operation;
c) Valid Tax Clearance;
d) Contractor to be active on the CIDB Register of Contractors Grade 1, 2 and 3 CE (not suspended or inactive);
e) BBB-EE Certificate or Affidavit for construction sector as per Gazette Vol. 630 of No. 41287;
f) Minimum Qualification must be Grade 12 or equivalent;
g) Applicants Banking Details;
h) Certificate of Attendance of EOI briefing;
i) Must be full time participation in the Programme;
j) NO FRONTING!!

Expression of Interest advert and submission of the documents:

a) Interested candidates will respond to the Department through an Expression of Interest (EOI);
b) The EOI advertisement will be published on the Departmental websites and Departmental office notice boards;
c) The EOI will be available in soft copy format for free download, and hard copy format to be purchased from district offices;
d) The submission of EOI documents and closing will be available in the EOI.

NB: Department has a right to limit the number of contractors that will be involved in the programme
