The SUBSIDISED VEHICLE FLEET has 2782 vehicles.
The average monthly capital remuneration (State’s contribution) is ± R 5.5 million with an estimated budget for insurance premiums being R 6 000 per vehicle per annum.
This figure is however dependent on the Loss Ratio* of the Province. (*Loss Ratio = Claims÷Premiums).
Maintenance of Subsidised vehicles: For all new subsidized vehicles delivered as of 1 April 2006, a fixed tariff will be paid to the Service Provider for the maintenance of the vehicle up to 160 000km [Scheme A].For vehicles on Scheme C, the maintenance allowance will continue to be paid to the official based on the actual official kilometres traveled.
