Logistics
The Traffic Training College utilises a budget of approximately three million
rand by doing the following logistical functions:-
- Supply 960 Traffic Officers with uniform and equipment
- Equip vehicles i.e. Booze Buses, Patrol Vehicles, Motor Cycles, Subsidised Vehicles and Caravans with:
- Traffic Cones, Barrier Tape, First Aid Kits, Radios for communication,
Warning Devices, Barlights.
- The Traffic Training College is also responsible for the purchasing and
repairing of equipment in vehicles. Supporting the South African Police
Services Vehicle Collision Unit and co-ordinates the equipment purchased /
supplied to the Local Authorities and the South African Police Services
for Arrive Alive Campaign for KwaZulu-Natal.
- All types of machines used in traffic related incidences i.e. Lion SD-II,
Dräger 7110, Speed Machines, Brake Testers etc. gets calibrated and
repaired through the Logistical Section at the Traffic Training College.
