

MEC, Bheki Cele presents his budget speech at the KZN
Legislature
KwaZulu-Natal MEC for Transport, Community Safety and Liaison
Mr. Bheki Cele delivered his annual budget speech for the 2006/2007 financial
year at the KwaZulu-Natal Legislature on 24 April 2006.
In his budget speech MEC Cele reported on the achievements and progress of the
KwaZulu-Natal Department of Transport in working towards ‘defending the weak’
during the past financial year and also outlined some of the challenges facing
the department, particularly with regards to budgetary constraints.
MEC Cele also presented details of this year’s programme of expenditure and
highlighted areas of importance with specific focus on government’s vision of
creating wealth and fighting poverty towards accelerated growth and development.
