  1. Mass taxi meeting on recapitalisation

Tomorrow (07/12/2004) the MEC Bheki Cele and the department’s CEO Dr. Kwazi Mbanjwa will be addressing the leadership of all taxi associations in the province of KwaZulu-Natal on how the taxi recapitalization programme will be implemented. The meeting will be held at Pietermaritzburg YMCA at 10am.

  1. Official Name Change of the Department of Safety & Security

The MEC Bheki Cele will be officially announcing the new name for the Department of Safety & Security. This comes after the launch of the Departments New name last month, which is Community Safety and Liaison.

Cele will be formally announcing the new name at Elangeni Hotel, North Beach Durban, at 18h30.
