MEC BHEKI CELE TO ATTEND LAUNCH OF LAMONTVILLE SCIENCE LABORATORYFRIDAY, 08 OCTOBER 2004 AT 10H00 Kwazulu-Natal MEC for Transport, Safety and Security Mr. Bheki Cele will officially launch the Lamontville Science Laboratory which is aimed at empowering the youth with science skills most importantly to help learners during the upcoming examinations. This R200 000.00 Science Laboratory is launched under the theme "EXCITING OUR YOUTH WITH SCIENCE". It is situated in Lamontville High School which is also Cele’s hometown. However it will be accessible to all the schools in the area including the community. The success of this initiative has been made possible by dedicated and empowerment driven businesses of the private sector, Sapref, Engen and Mondi. This project is the first of its kind that has materialized from the partnership formed by schools, the community and the business sector in the South Durban Basin. All media are invited to attend.
