MEC TO ATTEND A PASSING OUT PARADE OF 96 TRAFFIC OFFICERS

Tomorrow( 15/12/2004 ), MEC Bheki Cele will attend the largest passing out parade at YMCA (Pietermaritzburg) at 10h00, where 96 traffic officers will be graduating.

This comes after they have completed their six month training course with the Department of Transport’s Road Traffic Inspectorate( RTI ). The Department’s CEO Dr. Kwazi Mbanjwa said that " they plan on deploying these graduates throughout the province of KwaZulu Natal", starting from tomorrow.

MEC Bheki Cele also added that "this is another initiative by the department to put harsh measures towards safety on our roads, from Zero Tolerance to 100% Compliance".
