StatisticsThis section of the data bank contains purely statistical
data in tabular and graphic form, covering all the major
headings and sub-sections of the data bank in which numeric
data is reported.
The information in this section, is confined to the
numerical information that has been obtained from
reasonably reliable forces, current (or recent, and
complete).
Where information has been obtained in the course of the
research but is considered to be inconclusive, it is
reported in the relevant sections of the data bank but not
repeated in this statistical data section.
The variable dating of the information available, is an
unfortunate feature of the data accumulated during the
research phase of the data bank, that is inevitable and
unavoidable due to the wide ranges of sources canvassed
during the project. For this reason, tables are dated with
the actual or approximate date of publication.
